Cedar Creek’s seven private, self-contained vineyard cottages offer ideal Wollombi accommodation for couples and larger groups alike for your next romantic getaway or Hunter Valley holiday.
Set on our 550acre private family estate with vineyards, farm animals, creeks and mountains, our one and two bedroom cottages are the perfect place to escape for a romantic getaway or celebrate with family and friends. Step back to the 1830s and discover the history of Stonehurst estate, where grazers roamed the valley floor and the hills are full of Dreamtime stories.
Pour yourself a glass of wine and take it all in; relax in your spa bath or claw foot bath, admire the endless night sky from your private verandah, curl up in front of the wood fire with our complimentary estate Tawny Port, and wake to bird song and misty valleys below.
Start the morning with a country breakfast hamper of local produce including bacon, eggs, tomatoes, and orange juice, then take a walk through the property. A working farm, you will come across horses, cows and calves in the paddocks. The trees are full of native bird life and at dawn and dusk, wallabies and kangaroos graze on the hillsides.
Wander along the creek that winds its way through the valley. Or venture through the vineyard and stop at our Stonehurst sandstone cellar door for a wine tasting (open Thursday to Monday 10am-5pm, Tuesday & Wednesday by appointment).

The Settler’s Cottages
Built from Convict brick or timber slabs in the style of the early settlers, Goldsmith’s, Howell’s and Shadforth’s Cottages are set on the hillside overlooking the Wollombi Brook Vineyard. They are named after the 3 Napoleonic War Veterans who had the original land grants here.
Goldsmith’s Cottage
This lovely one bedroom studio-style cottage is set on the hillside overlooking our Chambourcin and Chardonnay vineyards and the valley below with wonderful views. It has a wood fire, corner spa bath and kitchenette with cooktop. Enjoy some outdoor cooking on your own wood BBQ. In June 2024, a bathroom update will bring a walk-in rain shower, plus a private outdoor bathtub under the stars (replacing the indoor corner spa bath). Breakfast hamper, complimentary port & chocolate and late 11am checkout all included. Howell’s Cottage
This charming one bedroom studio-style cottage is set on the hillside overlooking our Chambourcin and Chardonnay vineyards and the valley below with wonderful views. It has a wood fire, rain shower and kitchenette with cooktop. From June 2024, enjoy your own private outdoor bathtub under the stars. Breakfast hamper, complimentary port & chocolate and late 11am checkout all included. Shadforth’s Cottage
This quaint two bedroom cottage is set quite by itself, on the hillside overlooking our Chardonnay vineyard with wonderful views. It has two bathrooms, with a corner spa bath in the main bathroom. The cottage has a lovely wood fire and a full kitchen with stove and oven. Enjoy some outdoor cooking on your own wood BBQ. Breakfast hamper, complimentary port & chocolate and late 11am checkout all included. The Farm Cottages
All built from timber slabs in the style of the early settlers, Timbercutter’s, Gardener’s and Gatekeeper’s Cottages are all set on the edge of our Cedar Creek Vineyard. Each cottage has a wood fire, full kitchen, claw foot bath, private verandah, and additional sleeping with double sofa beds – so easy for families or extra friends!
Timbercutter’s Cottage
This spacious one bedroom cottage is privately set on the edge of our Hunter Valley Semillon vineyard and overlooks the valley with wonderful views. It has a wood fire, long spa bath and full kitchen with stove and oven. The lounge room has a queen sofa bed for additional sleeping, perfect for family & friends (*extra fees apply). Breakfast hamper, complimentary port & chocolate and late 11am checkout all included. Gardener’s Cottage
This delightful one bedroom cottage is set on the edge of our Semillon and Shiraz vineyards and overlooks the valley with wonderful views. A romantic getaway or holiday with family & friends, it has a wood fire and full kitchen with stove and oven, and additional sleeping with queen sofa bed (*extra fees apply). The bathroom has a charming claw foot bath, with shower over bath. Breakfast hamper, complimentary port & chocolate and late 11am checkout all included. Gatekeeper’s Cottage
This spacious two bedroom cottage is set on the edge of our Semillon and Shiraz vineyards with wonderful views. It is ideal for families or groups with a queen sofa bed, sleeping up to 6 guests (*extra fees apply). It features a large wood fire, full kitchen with stove and oven, wood BBQ and picnic table. The bathroom has a charming claw foot bath, additional powder room with second toilet, and makeup vanities in both bedrooms. Grove Cottage
This impressive sandstone two bedroom cottage is set beside our Cellar Door, on the edge of our tree grove. It features a wood fire, full kitchen with stove and oven, large corner spa bath in the main bathroom and a queen sofa-bed for additional guests in the spacious lounge, sleeping up to 6 guests (*extra fees apply).
